For your further afield main holidays try here Brilliant campsite with everything your kids could want too. In a forest with miles and miles of cycle trails just outside the site.
This thread dates back to 2009 so OP probably found somewhere over 3 years ago thread was resurrected by someone advertising their campsite

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again

I see you have Thetford on your 2013 list, do you stay at The Ram in Brandon?
No, as I usually camp at Thetford Forest C&CC. Lovely site.

I noticed this threads quite old but stayed at Beech Estate Campsite. It's got 500 acres of wood with lots of forest tracks perfect for Mountain Bike Riding. Even my ten year old enjoyed it last year.
High Rigg is ideally situated for North Yorkshires Dalby Forest and saves you having to pay the forest entry fee every day. The Mountain Biking World Cup was there last year, and there are plenty of other sites nearby too if that is your thang.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Cannock chase in Staffordshire, good family routes and a couple of more adventurous trails for the more advanced rider. There are sites within the chase but I haven't stayed at them but have heard they are quite good. Degla is good too. If you position yourself right you could be between llandegla and coed y Brenin.
