I managed to get in at the camping & caravan club site at Hayfield in the end. Not too far from where we usually go in the Hope valley.

My planned bank holiday weekend was to go camping and looked everywhere and could not get in anywhere.  Rang a camp site in Penrith and he said to ring back on Thursday as the ground was wet and he didnt want to take any further bookings for further down the field where it was very wet.

Decided then to look for b&b but could not get anywhere so gave up on that aswell.

Decided to try and hire a motorhome for the weekend and just drive round and try our luck with just turning up somewhere, if we couldnt get in somewhere park at side of road lol, all motorhome hire companies I tried where fully booked.

Thought of a better idea and thought stay at home and relax and hire a hot tub, rang a few companies and sent out emails they where all booked out.

So last attempt this morning rang tourist information centre and have managed to get a booking as somebody has cancelled so am pleased that we have managed to get into somewhere.
