I've never been to scotland - so i cant comment on visiting it.

However i would recommend visiting the gower - south wales.

It is a small area of amazing contrasts:

There are bays - sandy or pebbly, with dogs or without, cliffs or sand dunes.

There are heathlands in the middle, with sheep & wild ponies - great for a walk.

In the north there are marshlands, with more animals.

If you need a town - Swansea has all the amenities.

Around the peninsular there are country pubs, shops, campsites & self catering.

What more could you need - finally - the view of Rhossilli bay & the worms head are fantastic at sunset!!!!
