Hi just wondered if anyoone is going away for christmas or new year and if you are were to we normally dont use caravan atfer 1st week of october but would love to use at christmas time for something different
Just been looking at some Caravan sites in Edinburgh...never been to Scotland before, i think it would something completly different for New Year dont you think?
We always go away, ever since we got a decent caravan, that was 1996 and a baptism of fire, went to the Peak District and there was loads of snow, had to be towed off the site by a landrover. It was great though. This year we are going to Skegness from Christmas Eve until 2nd January, having Christmas lunch at an hotel.
We have gone to CC&C windermere site for the last 3 years, but left it too late to get on this year-so we are going to a CL in Caldbeck instead. Have booked a table for a meal at the local pub so will be well fed & watered on new years eve then hopefully a walk up the fells to clear the dust from between the ears on jan 1st!!
We're off to Brighouse Bay (Solway Firth) for the New Year, it's our first rip away at that time of year and were meeting up with loads of friends who are also taking their caravans, log fire on the beach, guitars, and weather permitting, beautiful scenery, can't wait.
