I gotta get me a better car to go to all these great scottish campsites/beachs
Irn brui spotted that site a while ago. I know I'm a southern softee, but after getting blown away in Yorkshire last year I thought we might try the wigwam things, as it does seem a tad exposed on the coast up there, and its a long way to go to get blown out of the tent!
This a pic of the site itself, as you can see there is shelter from the dunes. On saying that I have seen tents flying off from here, but thats the same on the northwest highland coast line and the chance you take. My Montana 6 along with delta pegs has managed to deal the weather we have had so far, in my experience as long as you are guyed down adequately you should be ok.
Freshwater East caravan club site in Pembrokeshire completely fits the bill - you come out of the sight right beside the beach carparks and the beach is dog friendly too. Lovely walks and great pub in the village, but lots of hills!

Try Seadown at Charmouth Dorset. Not been there yet but know Charmouth very well and can walk the dog along the river to the (quiet)beach & cliff walks. We are planning a trip there this coming season.
Hi, I quite like Aberdaron, Wales the beach and water there are beautiful and also a site called Aberafon also north wales which is on the water and also nice and quiet (although it was about 5yrs ago when i last went, look them up) good luck
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
