I've had a bit of a problem in getting booked in last minute, but we are not going until the Sunday. If you look on the CC website, do not take their shown 'booked pitches' as gospel. I only booked yesterday and only 2 of the 5 nights we wanted were showing as pitches available. I rang up to check and I was told that they did just have one pitch left for the other nights, so I booked it. I've 'phoned them again a few moments ago to extend by a night and I've got that too - although it's showing 'full up' on the website.
So the rule is: even if it is showing as booked up on line, ring up - you might get a different story. I think this is more likely for the CC as they accept bookings without a deposit, and I'm sure people change their mind more frequently because of that.
