Everywhere in Cornwall is great - I love it.  We've been twice - 3rd time this year and stayed somewhere different each time but also always visited all the areas.  Beautiful beaches, lovely people - I just love it.

Better then skegness that's for sure and I won't go back to Blackpool ever again - it stinks!

I never saw the pot holes at Little Treverrack either.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

Sorry but I can't believe the criticism of St Ives compared to Newquay. I appreciate that everyone to their own etc but how can you compare newquay to St Ives.

Newquay is a dump, it makes Blackpool look posh. I suggest people do a search on google for police crackdown at newquay to find a recent article the police's approach to Newquay this summer after all the problems they have had.

How can a town be'too much up itself'?

And as for the comments about Little trevarrack full of potholes I suggest that people should read the reviews, I'm sure they will see that sallymorgan is in a very small minority of 1

Like you say... each to their own. I have holidayed in Cornwall many times. From memory 9 times in the 18 years of marriage.

Never been impressed with St Ives.

  • Over priced restraunts and pubs.
  • Over priced gift shops selling the same tat as everywhere else in Cornwall but at a premium.
  • Way too many pretentious art galleries, studios and boutiques.
  • Overcrowded beach.
  • Extortionate parking fees.
  • A general feeling that the inhabitants thought they were in St Tropez not the Cornich Coast.

Not somewhere I would rush back to.

I do know what you mean, we call St Ives and Padstow "London in Cornwall" as they seem to be "the" places to be seen.  We avoid both places as we prefer quieter but I would not compare St Ives to Newquay.

However the majority of the above statement applies to much of Cornwall & Devon (over crowded beaches, expensive parking, expensive to eat out) you want to try living here!
