Stayed at Northam Farm in July, a few years ago, didnt experience any problem with windy weather, thank goodness, by the sound of some of the previous posts.

I have been there 2 or 3 times and can't recall any serious wind problems. In fact I seem to remember it being really hot and on one occasion, having climbed up Brean Down, it was so hot I was starting to feel unwell and on reaching the fort it was a really welcome relief to find some wind blowing in from the Weston Super Mare side.

It's not a bad place there but the 'beach' consists of a few sandhills and a short width of soft sand then miles of hard, flat, sand with dangerous mud at low tide...and low tide seems to be permanent!

Warren Farm can be really bad if the wind gets up.  We lost one tent there three years ago and many tents and awnings were damaged. The following year we took our first Folding Camper and spent half the week holding it down!  Never again - there is just no shelter there.
