I can personally recommend this one - High Yedmondale. It's our favourite site and we try and get there at least twice a year. Slackalice is right about not having uber modern facilities, but they're clean, and sufficient - huge field for kids (ahem and 'big kids' to play games) - it's fab
------------- Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways --- champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other --- screaming... WOOHOO, WHAT A RIDE!"
We have been to Flower of May lots of times and the camping areas are not near the cliff top at all. Its very clean and tidy and is a family run site so is based for families. They do not allow all female/male groups or motorbikes on the site so it isn't rowdy either. Its a good base for Scarborough, Bridlington, Filey and Whitby etc. Corw's Nest is the next site and this is on the clifftop. The Blue Dolphin site is the next site which is a large Haven site which we haven't stayed at because we like a smaller quieter place to stay. I hope this of some help to you and good luck finding somewhere to stay.
High Yedmandale is lovely. We had our very first camping trip ever there last week and it was wonderful, I didn't want to leave. The kids absolutely loved it and my husband who really didn't want to go camping at all wants to go back too. It's a brilliant base as well. We had trips to Scarborough, Filey, Whitby and Sandsend. It was so peaceful and friendly. I can't wait to go there again!
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
