Thanks for all the replies.

All the sites look great so we will have a look at the locations in relation to where we plan to go and prices.

Thanks again

Alistair

Best of luck Alistair.  Cornwall does get busy during the main holiday period.  If possible it might also be worth not travelling in Cornwall on a Friday or Saturday (especially the latter) to avoid (really) heavy traffic.  If you do this you will need to take into consideration that some sites will only book Saturday - Saturday etc.  Also, last year, we gave up on St Ives and Perranporth because of the parking - but everywhere is busy.  If you end up on Polmanter or Little Treverrick much better to take the bus in to St Ives and leave the car behind (buses go from both these sites in season).  Wherever you go try the Cornish pasties from Philips in Hayle.  If you find you have trouble in parking for the beach, we have always managed to park at Kennack Sands on the Lizard.  Even staying at Globe Vale, near Redruth, we have often  headed straight for Kennack Sands on a beach day - abour 35-40 min. drive.  We like Kennack Sands - the trouble is, we like Globe Vale too.  24

River Valley at London Apprentice is a nice site.  Spotlessly clean facilites, indoor pool, small play area (with zip wire).  Small family run site.

Close to St Austell, has direct access onto safe off road cycle trail that leads 2.5 miles through woodland to the village and beach of Pentewan.

Beaches of Gorran Haven and Porthluney (Caerhays) all within close drive.  Not far from Mevagissey either, so a good location for all of Cornwall really.
