On our last trip out to a campsite we had a couple with a small dog which they kept in the awning at night in its crate, which was ok whilst it was asleep, but as soon as dawn broke, or the owls started hooting it was off yapping for hours, until its owners finally got up and were around to attend to its needs. How they slept through this racket i will never know, i have two dogs of my own, but would never allow them to be so disruptive to others, but this little Westie managed to round other dogs up to join in the dawn corus across the campsite, although the majority of owners did manage to shut their Muts up fairly quickly.
Over the years we have camped we have come across all types of people, with their different takes on enjoying themselves. i dont mind Music if its kept town to a reasonable level, but do hate it when theres just a constant ticking from a base played loud through someones MP3, or a van full of drunken adults who are out to see who can come out with the most fithy launguage and disgusting antisocial behaviour you can imagine, and have little regard to the fact that young children are around to hear all this going on.
Our young Grandson (5) has just returned from a Butlins campsite weekend break which had a stag party staying nearby, he doesnt know the meaning of the words, but has now picked up a few choice F-offs, Dirty-Bs and P-offs as part of his vocabulary from these filthy mouthed yobs, and its taking us a lot of effort to stop him using them and getting into bother at school where he thinks its big to use words like those grown ups did, GRRRR!
For anyone who likes choirs and ochestras, the Welsh music festivals see a lot of nearby campsite pitches taken up by the musicians performing at them, and we have been entertained in the past by the likes of a proffestional flutist, a Coaliery brass band, and several male voice choir members all out to practice their pieces during the evening before their big day in the competion.
