Akebar park near Leyburn always have mixed sites. They don't allow reviews as they get busy enough without .
Is it only me that would steer very clear of a campsite that didn't allow reviews to be posted? That sounds both unnervingly controlling and as if they have more than a little to hide - there must be a buckeload of sites that are a heck of a lot busier that still allow users to comment on facilities/attitudes/pitches ....!
I am unlikely to go to a site that doen't allow reviews on here, unless they could supply an extremely good reason. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a reason that I would find acceptable.

Cote ghyll is great , but the sister site Golden Square at helmsley is fantastic , just returned last weekend and loved it , plenty to do for the nippers and tents and vans mixed too , been to akebar a few times too in tent and caravan , quite nice , but a lot depends on the type of people who are on the site at the time you are! wardens do very little to combat anyone breaking the rules. but any break is great and just enjoy :)
Another nod for Golden Square at Helmsley, they site caravans and tents together, just ring them and ask. We are going on Friday for 2nights , can't wait

Just got back from Akebar what a lovely site, Very spacious and tranquil site (maybe I got lucky) we had a great time despite the weather. The owners were very friendly and helpful , The resturant was lovely, ( was very busy which you'd expect at weekends). I will certainly be returning again in the near future.
Thanks for putting your feedback in Debi. It just goes to show what people are missing by relying too much on other peoples experiences. As I said I have followed different 'good' reviews and been very disappointed. Beware though, Akebar gets very busy at bank holidays and this does put a strain on the facilities, on saying that though, if campers took more care and left the toilets and washing up areas in a decent condition then it would be better for everyone.
