I went to Skipsea this summer, and it wasn't the best, although not awful either.
If you can, try and get a pitch round the edge rather than in the middle. The pitches round the edge near the pond looked best in terms of being quiet.
I think they tend to bung all the tents in the middle, and we found there was a lot of noise, although that was just down to several inconsiderate people. Showers were hot but not that clean, was only mopped/cleaned once a day and was so busy both blocks got filthy.
We were also unfortunate it had been raining, so we basically pitched on a muddy puddle, didn't help it started to rain as we were pitching as well so got drenched!
As I say, it wasn't awful, and for the prices of the haven parks I would consider going somewhere similar again. I think pitches at park resorts are bigger, when I've looked at the pitch size for haven in October half term they all say they're 6 by 4 or smaller, so wouldn't fit my tent.
