But David how can they charge a cancellation fee to people who are not onsite if you don't have a deposit system, which I know you are not in favour of?
Agreed, but as I said in my earlier post: Whether the CC will argue that it is not possible to take 1 nights fee from people not on site is irrelevant IMO, the fact is that people can cancel from home without penalty, yet people already on site are penalised.
My argument is that it is totally unfair, if you impose these types of "conditions" for want of a better word, then surely they should be applied to everyone, not just those already on site?
As someone else has said, the whole thing seems rather badly thought out and is far from consistent.
