We stayed at a C&CC CS last summer, Shrublands Farm nr. Northrepps. No play area but we were in the large field, at the top and there was loads of room in the middle for our children to play, dd had a new cricket set and we played one or two (dozen) games. A bit of a drive to Gt. Yarmouth though

Hubby says we can't camp as much this yr mmm we'll see!!
camped in 2009= 27nights
Booked for 2010 = 30 nights.
Hey, I might even be there myself round about then. I haven't decided anything yet for the 'royal' bank hol, was hoping to get up to a site in Scotland for my birthday on June 2nd but I think it'll be booked up, and as I go to California at least once a year it may very well be then - I'll keep a look-out for you. And if your youngest wants a swim you can always chuck him off the cliff, the sea is just down below! lol

We may well be there that week too but I am thinking of avoiding the bank holiday weekend and going from the Tuesday to Saturday, its a campsite thats been on my list for ages and its not far from us either. May well see you all there
I am in Attleborough Tigermouse, half way between Norwich and Thetford so its quite local for me and, as I said, been on our list for ages but something or somewhere else has always popped up but I know you are always singing the praises of the campsite so we must go
I went through Attleborough twice last year, the first time when I went to Banham zoo and the second time when I drove straight from California to Anglesey - not a drive I'd like to tackle again in a hurry!
I've been going down to California since 1982, went twice a year for 11 years to the chalet site just down the road from the camp site. We used to walk through the camp site to get the blue bus into town (it was cheaper than the red one which came past the chalet site!) and the camping field back in the 80s was just a very rough field surrounded by a high hedge. I missed a couple of years when I split up with hubby then started camping there with my now-ex and have been going ever since. Ok, so the site isn't 5-star but it has most things people need and the area is lovely - don't know what it is about it but I just love it.

dont know if you was there tigermouse, we came home two days early. Tent was dropped Thursday morning. This holiday has got to have been the most miserable one we've ever had.
Wasn't overly impressed with the site, but the wind played a major role in ruining our holiday. Our tent stood up to all the wind, but it was predicted to get worse so we gave up.

Tbh I changed direction and went to Anglesey instead! Things round here have been rather hectic since I last posted on this thread and there was a chance that wherever I went I may have to cut my break short and come home, so I chose Anglesey as it's only just over a 2-hour drive - I went on June 1st and came back yesterday. I'm sorry you had to give up and go home early - out of the ten days I was away I only had five really good ones, but reading through all the threads on here I don't think anyone has had a particularly brilliant time. I'm lucky that my awning will stand up to anything nature throws at it so I wasn't too concerned, but I feel really sorry for all those whose tents and holidays were ruined.
