well we have been twice with another couple and other time with our son and granchild whos 2. We are campers and both times stayed in field on otherside of main road, great location, great facilities perfect you would say! But wasnt for us our experience there on an evening were horrendous. This was due to noise! Far to roudy and In considerate people. We like a drink round the fire but I draw the line at early hrs rowdyness! Our second visit we thought lets give it another chance! Was over the august bank holiday week end! Avoid this at all cost. We were like sardines in a tin. We were on top of each other and again noise was unreal! From a large group near to us that must of been a no; of tents friends family members. On this visit we had to call the wardens who due to amount of people there they were overstretched! They spoke to the offenders and told them who complained! And we got abuse from them after the wardens had left! After two nights of little sleep and noise with our grandchild on this visit we had had enough packed up and left! The tent beside us with a young couple in also did the same! On our return I emailed park foot of my concerns far to many tents / on top of each other and wardens were few and far between. We felt it was pack them in and make money! I did ask for a refund of the one night that was cut short!
I never got a reply from parkfoot.

I really feel for you its a tough decision to make!, its got everything cant fault its facilities and location but fellow campers spoilt it for us. If can sleep through out anything thats a plus. if not ear plugs incase. We think we were extremely unlucky just turned out to be very expensive break that was cut short very disappointed park foot didnt reply to my email as well!
I wish you well in any decision you make
The site wont disappoint so maybe give it a chance but make
Sure get wardens tel no; in case of bother

That field, can be like being at a festival. Music blaring out from various pitches. The terraces maybe a little better. They are further up the site. You pass them when you go up on to moor.

Yes we went bank holiday weekend, I can say we will not be going again. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, it was VERY busy but facilities were clean enough. Lovely walk into Pooley Bridge around lake. If you like big, rowdy sites then yes I would try this site, if you prefer real campsites then I would not go.

Hi JoBee, did you go on to the moor which you can access, from the top of the campsite,
The views are fantastic of the surrounding area. fab walk.

Kev81,have you decided what to do yet?. We were on the terrace which was a bit more private. We still had trouble with noise, the clubhouse shuts at 11pm and that seamed to be the time that the parties back at the tents started. For a family campsite the no noise after midnight rule is pretty late, I use the term RULE loosely. The fields really did look like a festival, tents were all over the place!!! It really depends on what your looking for,it hasn't put us off going to the area again.....we'd just choose a different site.
JoBee, there is a campsite next the lake, it is in the opposite direction from Pooley Bridge. Instead of walking along to Pooley bridge, you go to the left.
can't remember what's it called.

JoBee, health 63, the other campsite you may be thinking of is Waterside House, I have been there too! its not on a grand scale as Park Foot, but we liked it still had to shout at noisey campers at 1am lol. I think it was also closer to the lake
