We're taking a tent, 5 bottles of vodka and a pack of baby wipes

i'll be doing the same as you but still got to get fridge to work on gas, I have two gas bottle though and will be taking them both, also be taking out soft furnishings etc replacing with thick foam to sit/sleep on also taking out carpet just in case

Just seen your thread, good luck with the fridge. I've got to try mine actually, but the van was serviced not long back so would expect it to have been tested then.
Going to explore the idea of LED lighting as they very low in power consumption, think I'll look more into the 12S extension though, just in case.
I've never really relied on gas, but taking two bottles looks a good option as you suggest!

Like the simplicity of this!

Power-wise,as long as the battery is in good nick, charged okay and you're not daft with it's usage, then you'll be fine(..well,we've been in camper'/MH since '08 and we've been okay).

You'll be spending hardly any time "at camp" anyway   but when you're there, just use the 12v for water pump(or loo flush?)and for mininal lighting...

We do tend to revert to a "tent camping" mindset a bit though...as we will still use our old battery LED lantern and cook outside the van,on suitcase stoves....

The thing which can sometimes be a bit of an issue,is water....We tend to fill up before we go on site(we stay local the night before)because the water pressure out in the "campervan fields" can be a bit iffy..resulting in long queues of folk, waiting to fill up their containers/ aquarolls.

The downside of filling up before hand is that it does make us a fair bit heavier and this can be an issue if the ground conditions are bad....

Also gents, increase the "empying intervals" of your cassette loo by using a lidded bucket for no1s..... (..with either a small amount of nice smelling disinfectant or scented wood-based cat litter..)

A few years ago, my mate hired a huge swanky motorhome for Glasto, and was full of how they would be able to have loads of showers and a lav that flushed.

None of them thought to fill the tank and once they were on their pitch they couldn't get anywhere near a tap, so they had to stay grubby like everyone else.
