That's the problem Elaine is working there on site like most wardens do. Technically a resident.

If the site is only a touring park there may be a local authority restriction on length of stay. However, I thought most sites had an exemption for the wardens, would think it is something the site owner needs to take up with the local authority.

hi i became homeless so got a job on a campsite as a live in warden but have heard that i cant do this as i dont have a permenant residence. Does anyone know the rules re this as i enjoy my job and it means i have somewhere to live as i cant afford to rent and council have said they cant house me until at least next year. am concerned that i may have to move on but where to i dont know.

We lived in our caravan permanently for 2 1/2 years with no issues. Post went to my dad's address and cars were registered to that address also.
No one can force you out of a job just because you do not have a permanently address.
Are you able to tell us who sent the email and maybe we can help some more?

There is no legal requirement to have a permanent address afaik, so I'm guessing that the site has a planning condition that prohibits year-round residences.

If so, it might be worth checking whether that condition applies to staff, who are effectively living in tied accommodation. Plenty of farmers have workers living in caravans year round, after all.
