Resipole on the Archnamurchan Peninsula is beautiful. Be sure to go over on the Corran Ferry rather than driving round.

Well having looked at all the options, and then drooled over Tigermouse's photo', I have settled on Invercaimbe.

I really, really want to stay there but it seems they're not the easiest to get hold of! Have emailed and text to try and book and they've not got back to me

They're probably busy but I want to get it booked so I know it's all sorted. I like to be organised!

Then I may need to find something new to buy. I may have almost every camping gadget and accessory under the sun but I neeeeed to buy something . (Midge repellant from what I can gather!)

When I emailed last Feb it took a couple of days before Joyce got back to me so I wouldn't worry too much. Invercaimbe is a working croft with sheep and cattle, Joyce tends to the animals and the land herself so she's more than likely quite busy. If you try the landline number it should give you her mobile number so it may be worth trying that as well.

I don't know when you plan on going but the first time I went it was August and the midges were quite bad, although they bothered my now-ex more than they did me. Early last June there were hardly any at all and I certainly didn't need midge repellant.

I'm undecided this year whether to go back to Invercaimbe or go to Italy and do Invercaimbe again next year - I'll definitely go back again soon though, I think I left a little bit of my heart behind last year

We're going at the end of August Tigermouse. Stuck with the non-flexibility of school holidays sadly.

Joyce must be a one woman dynamo to do all that herself!

Bit scared about midges now! Where did I put the deet?......

She is near enough. I came across her one morning last year cleaning the toilets, when I looked again not long afterwards she was mowing the grass between the pitches!

We A-framed our Moggy Minor to the Ardnamurchan Peninsula and then toured the area for a week. Fantastic place and we will go back for more.

One good thing is that the schools go back here in mid-August so things will be a little quieter.

Lobey - love the Moggie.

I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.

Wonderful pic Lobey. I hope, in a couple of years time, we'll be able to take our 17 ft boat up to Loch Sunart for a holiday.
