I know this is not the same but the site we love is just 7 miles from our home and it offers everything we want/need for a fab break...working farm, extensive country walks, 20 mins walking to local village, 30 mins to large town over the fields but mainly just total relaxation. If I could pitch my tent there on a seasonal basis then I would!

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

Why.............
Because Helen wants to maximise the amount of time she can spend in her van. Having arthritis, I find long journeys painful so, as long as I can get away, the closer the better. Whether you are 5 miles or 500 miles away, you are away.
Glad you got sorted Helen. If you can't get away for a weekend, you can even go for the day! I did that a lot when I had a static 30 minutes from home.
Got it in one, Ronni.
Once I am on site, I could be anywhere in the country so it doesn't matter whether I have travelled for 15 minutes or 15 hours!
