There's a good tea room in Birsay too; great food and fantastic views out across the bay to the Brough of Birsay.

I'm planning to go to Orkney in a couple of weeks does anyone have any updates on sites and events in early August?
Also are the roads ok for a very occasional cyclist who prefgers flat terrain?
Single person in a tent.

I’m sure Richardh Is the person to ask! I found the roads good, there are some hills, but I don’t recall anything too tricky!
