On the Broadway CMC site there are two levels. On the lower level, you won't see the trains go past but if you get a pitch on the upper level you should have a great view of them.

Good suggestion of
Harman's Cross (although I haven't stayed there - yet ) just down the line from the aforementioned Woodyhyde.
