Just back from what was an enjoyable week. Sites were fine - peaceful couple of nights on a CL in south Devon, where the owner said she had been turning people away for most of the summer and was full when we stayed. Surprisingly good couple of nights on a large affiliated site - East Fleet Farm at Weymouth, (have reviewed) where superb organisation (presented with a friendly face) and a stunning location won us over.
Out and about was a bit more varied - still finding our way with a new motorhome, working out where we can easily park etc. West Bay (David Tennant's fault!) and Sidmouth were absolutely rammed midweek so we quickly turned round and left! Seaton, Beer, Branscombe and Portland Bill were better, good Covid protools in the cafes and restaurants and people making good use of the generous amount of space. We kept saying ' in a normal year we would do this or go here...' but I wonder if next year will be any more 'normal'
