For us to go away in our caravan at this time of year, someone would have to be paying me! The idea of being confined to a small space such as a caravan, or having to go out in the cold except when absolutely necessary fills me with horror! Perhaps when I was much younger maybe. No way would I pay £52 a night for a caravan pitch at any time of the year, I'd be reluctant to pay half that, and only then if it was somewhere I really wanted to go at a time I really wanted to be there.
For me, caravanning is about being outdoors, exploring or relaxing in a sun lounger. We only really use our caravan for sleeping in and getting some meals. Each to his own though I suppose.
