Hi All

Polmanter, St Ives - spacious pitches, lovely clean site, excellent facilities

Lickpenny, Matlock - big pitches, clean facilities, no pub, club, just peace and quiet (only when my kids are asleep mind)

Ruda, Croyde Bay, N Devon - purely because its a stonesthrow from the sea and good facilities for the kids!

Huntly Castle Caravan Park - plenty of space, immaculate, quiet, large games room with badminton court and toddlers soft play area, rabbits running around first thing in the morning and last thing at night amused the kids too.

Blair Castle Caravan Park- beautiful site, very spacious with acres of room for ball games etc. Immaculate, nice walks, games room.

Culzean Castle C&CC site - beautiful situation, immaculate, site fees include entry to Culzean Country Park, peaceful, lovely walks.

Just noticed all of mine are 'castles' - delusions of grandeur maybe?!

Can we have 4 sites?  I've recently found another one.......... Ye Olde Royal Oak Inn, Wetton, near Ashbourne, Derbyshire.  A small croft behind a beamed pub serving good food and real ale, in the middle of some beautiful countryside.  Basic facilities but adequate, location and ambience, 9 out of 10.

Just come back from Boscrege near Helston, Cornwall - quiet, spacious, countryside around, but near all facilities - our first there as a replacement for Trelowarren which closed end of last season. We were really worried about what we could find to replace it but looks like Boscrege is the one.

CCC in Keswick - lovely views, lovely site.

Castlerigg Hall, Keswick - check out the websites

So far:-

Bishops Meadow, Brecon, Powys - I mile  easy walk into Brecon town, small bar/restaurant on site plus small petrol station/shop, and fab views of the Brecon Beacons.

Back of Beyond, Ringwood, Dorset - Adult only, tucked away site, very peaceful, lots of wildlife scampering about. Nice base for touring round Poole, Bournemouth etc

Windmill Hill, Pemboke, West Wales - small site, basic facilities, very cheap, easy access to some of the best beaches and widlest coastline in the country and a short downhill walk into the centre of Pembroke town,

Longleat Caravan club site - excellent for visting the safari park and house, great wardens, clean facilities.

Skegness Sands CC - excellent location right by the beach, shops etc., (teenagers love it here plenty in the area to keep them happy)

Chatsworth CC - quiet and well kept site, excellent for visiting Bakewell, Matlock, Buxton and Chesterfield.  Great walk for dog loves through a gate which leads into the grounds of Chatsworth.

to choose only 3 sites is a hard option,

#1 merley court wimborne nr poole - lovelly site excellent facilities great base for touring dorset and surrounding area. been there for the last 15 years, and we have booked up for next year which is advisable as it is well patrionised.

#2 lincoln farm oxford  -  well maintained site, as mentioned above the swimming pool is open to public hire, washing facilities very good, altho a friendly  pub nearby wouldn't come amiss

#3 maustins wetherby n. yorks  -  not long found this site, but been there twice and already booked up again for sept, great pub/restaurant on site, brand new washing facilties are superb, ideal for walking or visiting n. yorks towns, david bellamy approved, great bat spotting in the evening

good thread gonna watch it with interest, been to many already mentioned a few others, lickpenny, back and beyond ,clumber park, gonna try and fit in next year
