We've been three times in the past to Stowford Farm Meadows and had some great holidays there. It's a very big site, but split into different fields, so when you're sat on your pitch you blissfully unaware of it on the whole you only tend to see the others in your particular area. The countryside is rolling, with fields and woodlands, and there are some great organised woodland walks. They have stables (I think these underwent substantial overhaul last year), an indoor swimming pool, half size golf course, tennis courts, table tennis, entertainment every morning for children (eg clowns, Exmoor zoo with animals, fun and games) and there are bars and disco type entertainment for those who like that. Woolacombe is a super family beach, and the amenities are scrupulously clean and there are proper lifeguards and supervision. We weren't so keen on Croyde - seemed to be lots of drinkers on the beach when we went, loads of litter and the public toilets were an experience we didn't want to repeat in a hurry. In high summer you can see sheepdog and falconry at Morthoe. Heaps to do. Hope this helps.

Hi
How old are the kids? We went to Watermouth Cove near Ilfracombe in June last year with our 5 year old. We enjoyed it that much we extended our stay to 2 weeks.
Nice site, friendly people, great play area for the youngsters.
