Don't underestimate Snowdon.

Be prepared for anything, It can be 20deg in Llanberis, and chucking it down and freezing on the summit. Ditto That!!! it was boiling hot, middle of summer when we went up last year and it was bloody freezing at the summit!!!

And that bloody awful cafe on the top really does my head in. About time it was demolished.........Sorry, Rant over........must calm down................. And Ditto That too!!! Just how bad is that "Cafe" the one that never has any hot food regardless of whenever you get there apart from that rather pale looking squished up Cheese Pasty that you need a Remortgage to buy... And then there the £40 for a flimsy Fleece for those who didnt anticipate it would be so cold...

Add to The Advance mode to do list: Fleeces for all, Picnic/packed lunches etc (but not too much as you only get 30 minutes from arrival to departure if doing the whole journey on railway. Or if walking down as you dont want to stuff yourself and get the post meal snoozies part way down!!!) and good proper walking boots!

I recommend Cae Du at Beddgelert. Massive pitches, very clean showers and toilets and fantastic views all around. You can walk Snowdon frrom the campsite (Watkin path) but only experienced climbers. There is a shuttle bus you can catch to take you to the start of your climb also, it saves trying to park your car.
