You could always start at Brompton on Swale caravan park which is 5mins from Richmond and a good base to tour from, or how about Constable Burton caravan park which is further up the dales near Leyburn.

Knight Stainforth site near Settle in N Yorks  here has the most fantastic river valley location, on a farm, with lovely people and lovely facilities and lots of great walking country. (Ooo and great UKCS meets too if you check out the gallery).

And we loved Cove Caravan and Camping Park here in the northern part of the Lakes near Penrith - very peaceful well kept site. We had a week in July 2005 and it was breath-taking (only 1 wet day too! Luckily we had the whippet and the cloth cap to dry off the flysheet with ......ee by gum lass nah then!)
