It's the camping field that is the problem - it doesn't handle rain very well.
I would phone them up and ask what the state of the camping field is before you go.
It's not really at Grange wither - it's a bit further out at Flookborough sort of halfway between Grange and Cartmel.
We took our tourer 3 years ago - booked 12 nights only stayed 3 - the camping field was a nightmare, this was for the October half term - the toilets/showers had run out of gas and they werent having any more delivered as it was almost close of season, so no hot water except for about 1 hour first thing in the morning. The field was so muddy there was more mud than grass. Some of the long stay pitches had awnings falling down and no-one was doing anything about it. There was no warden on site - although the caravan was still there. We wouldnt go back.
Went in March for opening weekend and had a brilliant weekend. Admittedly did not stay on camping field. Lot of money being spent on a new outdoor pool and other features on the site. Will definately be going back when oh has his holidays again. It is not well sign posted so you will come to a sort of village square and you have to turn off here and go down a VERY long road, if you pass a place called Ducky's then you are on the right road.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
