We go to Pickering North Yorkshire, we stay at 2 sites Black Bull and Upper Carr both excellent sites. You would be 15 min drive away from Flamingo Land they have a zoo and a theme park. It would be within 250 miles as well.

http://www.highlandwildlifepark.org/

We went there about 3 years ago and had a lovely afternoon. It's in a wonderful setting and the wolves were amazing. We were there at feeding time which was great.

I'd really recommend it and they do a fantastic job there too.

Hey guy-rope hope you don't have a convertible people carrier like the topgear crew had on last Sundays show.[o)]when they went into a safari park[xx(][8D]

We are off to longleat in august everybody says its brilliant so if you can get down that far I'd say go for it.

have a peolpe carrier but its a hard top

wonder if anyone has gone to one of those places with a softtop convertible though eh ! Surely must be one or two that have tried to get in .I wouldnt of thought they would be allowed though.

Yeah longleat looks good but would have to stay down there for a week to make it worthwhile and with a 5 year old spending 8 hours travelling would send me loopy

"are we there yet" , " no" .

"are we there yet" , " no" .

"are we there yet" , " no" .

"are we there yet" , " no" .

etc lol

There were no monkeys last time we were at Blair Drummond, however after what they did to my wifes car last time we were at Longleat that is definitely a good thing! We had to send the ranger back in to pick up various roof trim and only of them even pooped on the middle of the car's roof!

The scariest animals at any of these places are definitely the rhino's at Longleat - one of those took an interest in our can and had to be chased away by one of the keepers in a little bulldozer thing.
