Hi I live in the Skegness area, and I have to say I have not noticed any abundance at all of 'travellers' the only time we have a problem is if they take over a playing field in Skegness but the last time the Council were quick to move them on.

Maybe what Swift 22 is referring to is that showmen (totally different to travellers) have Hobby caravans which they live in for the Season whilst working in the area, but in all honesty I have not witnessed an abundance of that either, and I live and work within the tourist industry here.

All the travellers are at the back end of Ingoldmells..One touring site is Blue Anchor Waterside (NOT WATER LEISURE PARK)...In the peak season nearly all the time the electric cuts out. Thats because of the travellers with their awnings up using large electrical items such as fridge freezers, electric & fan heaters, dryers...This i have seen with my own two eyes.. They have big dogs which are chained up outside...big heavy chains....there are pickups parked up...You will find these in the touring section at the back on the left hand side around one of the fishing lakes...

Another place is a boating lake the campsite can be accessed on foot from the back of Waterside..go around the lake and around the back of amusements & bingo their there...got big fence all way around them and if your brave enough to walk around the vans you will see that i am talking about gypsies & not showmen?

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
