Snowy is right, there was defo no direct access to the sea when we was there. Nearest beaches are either Poole or Swanage. Tho think there are some beaches from the road between Swanage and Wareham.

Wareham is the nearest town. Even that has no beach just a river.

It won't have changed Shelldean that's for sure because it is definitely inland!!!!!!!  Well you could walk..................... but you'd need your hiking gear on because Poole is about 5 miles away I think.  I often drive past Sandford Park as we only live 40 miles or so away so know the area very well.

Only bit i can think of... is when we went, ams ure they claimed something simliar.

Apprently if you go back to the crossroads, but go straight across, you can access the sea. You can also get to Holton heath railway station that way. However when we had a look in the car, it all looked like private land, and we felt like we shouldn't be there. So we turned round and came away. And even if that is the bit they reckon gives you access to the sea, I think it will be the sand/mud flats like a bit before Poole. The bit on the right as you enter from Sandford, after Hamworthy.

Look at this here and you can see what i mean. The site is above the A351, and the bit i mean is below it, labeled the black hill trading estate. We certainly never found the station.

Trust me, you deffo cannot walk to the coast easily from Sandford Park!  They do however have a pool with a sandy beach..... maybe that is the bit Tracey Fairy read?
