Oban -Barra - Uists -Harris-lewis-Skye-Plockton-Skye-back to mainland via ferry

can't wait!

we have found the Calmac brochure and the Tourist board brochures reeally helpful,

I can only suggest that you try the Tourist Information Bureau in Stornoway. They should have all the available books etc on walks on Harris and Lewis.

But, just to make you feel an eatsy weatsy wee bitty jelous, OH, myself and the dug will be walking on the sands at Seilbost this coming June.

We have sailed from both Skye and Ullapool; shorter ferry from Skye but then you have to drive from Harris to Lewis whereas the Ullapool one comes straight into Stornoway. Both crossings fine but we were blessed with good weather.  Last June we both got sunburn on Lewis but the previous August we didn't see the sun at all, so be prepared for all weather! We have also flown from Glasgow and if the weather is good, you get fabulous views.
