to be fair, travelling from oop north with a couple of small people and a load of camping gear you can understand people wanting to minimise the journey time.
We tend to go to cornwall off season in a hire car (we have a daughter living there) and the best map we have found, for finding your way drekkly is this one. You get the whole of Cornwall, showing all the squiggly drekkt roads.. plus loads of detail about facilities plus some handy town maps. Really useful.
and next time i am taking a compass.. some of my drekkly journeys were decidedly indirekkt!
