http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=3466 I liked it here as a child, views simply amazing, we had friends in Kinlochleven so it was an ideal base for everywhere worth seeing, we did Glencoe, Oban, Fort William, there is lots to see and the people were wonderful.

Hi Tim,
We have two kids ( 8 and 4 ) and the last couple of years we've done the West coast. The sites we used were North Ledaig, good playarea, beach and plenty of room for bike riding. Lots of options around about Oban to keep whole family amused.
Then up to Ardmair Point near Ullapool, playarea and beach. A little less to do as u're further North but there's plenty of scope for sightseeing. The scenery is great and Achmelvich Beach is a good trip, it's near Clachtoll. On a sunny day you could be on a beach anywhere in the world.
We finished off coming back down to Grantown on Spey, good playarea and lots to do in the area around the site and Aviemore.
Keeping the kids amused is always our main aim and they had a great time at all of these sites. You can find all of the places that I've mentioned on the web.
Enjoy.

"the midge" OHHH MYYYY GODDDD The demon the insect with the killer sting !!!
The wee midge does not carry any life threatening diseases. It is mearly an irritant
Thanks for the lecture cathymac ???? obviously living in Loch Lomond area you are immune to the beastie ,maybe you should read some of the posts regarding same. I merely pointed out a FACT as this has been spoke about hundreds of time on this site.I also refuse to stoop to being rude, unlike yourself....

just returned from 3 weeks on the west coast of scotland,we stopped at bunree cc site as we were there last year, but if there is a better site i'd love to know of it? altho i have my doubts. like gowser above, took a lot of "only been to scotland" jibes from folk. when i got my pics printed off at local asda store, the assistant was amazed at the beauty i captured, suddenly my pics were being handed around 5 assistants, all proclaiming " oohs" and "wows" etc. as concerning the midge debate? of course they are there in their trillions, but as has been mentioned, they are more of a pest than anything else, after time you get used to them, either way 'skin so soft' is a very good soother. by the way a trip up scotland without visiting the numerous isles, is a wasted holiday.....isle of skye is heaven on earth.
