Hi,

I am thinking of joining the caravan and camping club but need a bit of advice

on the prices.

on one of the camp pages it says £7.00 for an adult  and 3.50 for a tent

so if it was just me would that be £10.50 or the £7.00 or the £3.50?

Sorry if this makes me seem a bit thick

Neil, the clubs offer basically the same sort of thing but if you do not have a caravan, motorhome or trailer tent/camper then you would need to join the C&CC.  The CC do not accept tenters as members.  Personally I think the CC sites are of a slightly better consistent standard - but this is only my experience and opinion - others may think differently.  I also understand that the CC also has a slighty larger network of sites.

We have a weekend booked in June & another 4 night break in August, both with full facilities but at least half the cost. Has to be worth it!!

Hi Homebird, sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do you book a commercial site through the C&CC Club?  Thanks!

The C&CC would have had a holiday rally at the site.  This would either be on the main site durinf the low season, or in a rally field adjacent to the site during high season.  Still able to use the facilities but pitched a little further away.

Yes it was a THS with the C&CC.I dont think they call them rallies but as you say THS or meets.You are looking in the right place. The best way to use it is to decide what dates you want to holiday & the area & then search for whatever is available. As we need to go during school holidays we've been able to find something to suit us. We prefer sites with some facilities as opposed to just a field with a tap.

We were in the rally field with the club but did have access to all the facilities.  Sometimes this isnt the case but if you need them, when searching, type in showers or toilets into the keywords search.

Alternatively, look in the club magazine, it might be easier

i dont see apoint in joining the clubs as when you have a family the prices is not cheaper than alot of comercial site, and for the insurance and breakdown you can get them just as cheap if you shop around.
