As a pair of fat so called people myself or the wife haven't been refused any treatment  yet. We are told lose iweight,  its no good for you. My wife lost 11 stone, went down 6 stone but, the pains didnt go the heart trouble didnt go in fact she was very ill trying to lose weight and had gastroplasty to lose it. So, why do they blame it all on being obbese or your smoking. Thin or fat I'm happy,so is my wife. We smoke, its our life if we choose to do these things no one has the right to tell us any different.  Same as excessive drinking, we are teetotal and dislike people who binge drink but we would not decry anyone for drinking in moderation.

It's our lives no one elses.

I'm a non smoker - I don't like the smell of smoke.......

But I really do find it difficult to understand how a small group of people smoking in the open air 6 feet away from a caravan could cause distress to anyone in the caravan - smoke rises and dissipates very quickly.   I suspect that the talking from these people was actually more disturbing than the smoke!!!

I really do not see any need to segregate smokers from non-smokers in an open environment such as a camp site.    Yes - ban smoking from toilet and shower blocks as many sites already do, but not in the open air......     The solution lays in tolerance and responsibility - not in division.

There will be something that every anti smoking person does that I find mildly irritating (that's the nature of human diversity) but when we find each other on the same camp site we show tolerance - why should smoking be any different???

Well said Fruitboy.

Debate about the merits of TC01's original post and suggestion is fine, but not going to let this turn into the usual slanging match between smokers, and those who hate it.
Thank you
Ian

I agree with TC01.

Not bothered about the tax issue though as I have not bought cigarettes in England for about 5 years, always get foreign.
