I stayed at Holmsley in late October and they were about to refurbish the toilet blocks. I talked to the wardens about what was going to happen to the site but they didn't know and their contracts hadn't been renewed for this year.

In early October we stayed at Postern Hill and the toilets had been reopened (just given a lick of paint) and tents were allowed on the site again. Again the wardens contract hadn't been renewed.

Some sites like Christchurch are now open all year  and dogs are now allowed there.

Hope they don't change them too much.

Your not kidding!!!

I've just recieved my forrest holiday broucher for the year, and as we have used them so much in the past we have been given a forest experience card for this year for free, so we get £3 a night discount. Even with that it is now going to cost us £25 a night peak season compared to last years £14!!! how do they condone such an enormus rise??? This site doesn't even have a play park or lecy!(Ashurst)

I'm hoping its a printing error!!

No it's not a printing error, I rang them to check, for a family of 2 adults and 3 children it's over £200 for 7 nights at end of may school holidays.

Will go elsewhere, I'm so sad as the reason myself and my friends with their kids used to go was because it was so cheep, who cares if the toilets are crap, all part of the slumming it!!!!

We have just had the shock of the prices doubling, they even want visitors to pay £4 /car and then £1 person non refundable if your friends want to come and see you!!. Last year £13/night this year £27 and electric is extra!

All they have done is modernise the toilet block WOW.  Now they will take over £8000 per night more at the Holmsley site when full.

Thanks Camping and Caravanning Club you really help the campers out.

Very annoyed as we have been camping with Forrest Holidays for 5 years New Forest and Beddgellert. These sites made it affordable to have more holidays.

Sites that charge this amount should have better Facilities which would then ruin these sites.
