I love threads like these! I was just about to look it up so thanks Stu for naming and shaming! I can't believe there are sites where people don't speak English well! Ohmigod, I have enough trouble with overseas call centres! BTW I am not a rascist!

snowy and funky lol thanks for that

stuwhitingham thanks m8 that was the point i was trying to make all the way through thread people are being kryptic and protective towards site.........never have i seen this on another thread when someone has been unhappy usually they just name and shame and i dont see why theese should be any different due to advertising ect the advertising would be useless if this site had no members so the members should come first

the not speaking english bit doesnt bother me we usually use sites for a base to explore from and dont spend much time onsite.............that said i suppose it would be a problem if you have things that need sorting

never argue with an idiot, they will bring you down to their level and beat you on experience

From my experience at Ladysmile "things that need sorting" was the problem ... 'coz nobody cared enough to do anything much about it. Lack of fluent English was not the problem. Lack of interest was.

A lady smile....

Was there the same time.....

took ages 30/45 minutes to get past starcross.. the queue was for a lady smile

had to send partner in to register while i was in the queue, at least 40 other cars did the same.

toilets blocked, dirty, very cold or dangerously hot, over crowded

been here a few times never this bad, but it was consistently bad all August 2006

can't believe it we droped in a couple of weeks ago just to pick up a brochure and it looked nice although looks can be decieving thanks for the tip!

We stayed at Cofton County park up the road and it was lovely due to  family illness we had to leave early but plan to return next year. Fantastic site, lovely pool for the kids which is life gaurded and the site is huge believe it or not though after 11pm it was lovely and quiet.

Don't let this experience put you off there is some fantastic sites out there.

Hope you have better luck next time

We were in Dawlish Warren first week of August and it was packed and this was going to be obvious but we had to drive past "L...y M...ile !"!!!each day and it looked horrendous.

My best friend had told me that she knew someone who were staying there the same week and she had her cool box pinched and saw the culprits with it on a neighbours sons skateboard!!.Complaints galore and she hated it.

We stayed at Peppermint and to say the least were not impressed but we expected it to be busy but the playground it at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro and for little ones to go and play was dangerous and my eldest aged 6 did fall down this hill and badyy hurt her shoulder. Wouldnt touch either with a barge pole.
