I know this post is really old, but because of medical reasons, I would really like to find a site, with private facilities. I do camp and do usual communal facilities, but it would be so much better for me if we had our own. I have used the family bathrooms too, but feel guilty most of the time, because it is just me, and families maybe waiting to use them and also most of them are for disabled use and although I also suffer from arthritis which sometimes disabling.

So if you see someone pacing up and down outside facilities, it could well be me!!

Webmaster note for 2019:

2019 Updated list of campsites with private bathrooms here

I go to a lot of agricultural shows, steam rallies, etc. and am well used to the ... um ... interesting nature of the portacabin loos, so campsite loo/shower blocks hold no fears even though I can still feel disgusted on occasion.  My mum told us years ago that being in those environments for a few minutes on a regular basis throughout the summer would give us good immunity for much of what life would throw at us later on!
