Off to The Orchard Campsite on Sunday - getting really excited now - loads of camping gear cluttering up the study pile high all around me as I type!! Hope it's not too windy!

Hi jaqugra, dog died earlier this year but MIL will be there with her Jack Russell !

Half term's almost over for us, my son goes back on Monday but had a lovely day today on North Norfolk coast....even had a paddle!

Are we the only English county off school this week?......seems like all of you are off next week!....thought it was quiet at the seaside!

We came back yday from this site in France  ( in a static!! )

Just returned from 5 nights in Battle, lovely weather, loved Brighton, Beachy Head and Eastbourne. Had to return a day early as son not well. Good site too, the CC one in Battle, great for wildlife!

After having to cancel our original bookin for Meathop Fell CC site (due to me not being well)  we did manage to get away on Tuesday and have just got back from  Hawthorn Farm CC site near Sutton on Sea. We've had a fab time, walking dogs on the beach at 9.am wearing short sleeve t shirts! This morning at 7.00am walking the dogs on Sandilands beach came across a young seal!. It made its way back to sea but came ashore again as we were leaving the beach! Absolutely fabulous! Weather was not so good yesterday and today though Weds to Fri was great! Bavk to work and school tomorrow - roll on Scarborough at the end of December!

We did not get away in the end as the grandchildren were both ill, so have booked to go to London with them in Feb half term hols all being well.

We have just spent a lovely week in the Gower, Swansea - the weather was lovely & the kids had a lovely time playing on the beach etc.  We were the only tent in field 12, bank farm - but it was lovely & i am really glad we decided to go away this late in the year.  the club house was really nice (in august it was hard to get a drink/table etc) & we enjoyed a relaxing coffee each morning while the kids swam.

cant wait for next year!!!
