One thing i would mention is that it would be a good idea to sit down and decide what type of park you want to be and what customers do you want to attract. You have childrens facilities, but from what has been said, you price list is turning off families. The very people you are looking to attract. Instead of trying to make it fair for everyone (which is impossible), make it good for the people you are aiming for.

That's very true. Sites which charge per pitch work out expensive for couples and singletons, sites which charge pp work out expnsive for families (although I think that's fair because families use more resources - but then I would, wouldn't I?)

Play areas etc are the same. They put off old farts like me who want peace and quiet, but are welcomed by families.

It must be really hard to try and work out which market will deliver the most business. I wonder if the local tourist board has any stats on which groups are most represented among local visitors, or which tend to stay longer?

Agree we was put off by the price alone. It ticked all other things we wanted ( tho ours are too old for playgrounds) but the price meant we crossed it off our list.

We're a family of six tho only five camp

As a matter of interest, what is your midweek occupancy like out of the school holidays?
Like many people, I only use Adults Only sites during the school holidays and have noticed that they seem to have a steady midweek trade - are there any Adult Only sites that you could ring for advice? - not too close to you though

I do agree with the others who said it's your website. It looks as if an amateur has put it together and that's the impression people will get of your site. I would not book at a place which didn't show photos of the facilites in case they weren't much better than showering in a cowshed.

I think the test is to look at your website with a punter's eyes - do you like what you see?   Are you likely to add it to your favourites list? Like dressing a property before you put it on the market, you have to do the same with your site - sell the lifestyle! An empty field with a few tents in the distance just doesn't do it.

I like the park plan - it's good to be able to choose your pitch, but look at Polmanter Tourist Park at the way their pitches can be chosen. It's totally different.

And booking by card online is essential these days.

Professional website design can be expensive but it will pay off in the long run.

Good luck!
