Well the kids are only 3 and 4, so not allowed to ride unsupervised but they are confident and know to stay away from other peoples things (and I always sit and watch them) and as for the football yes, it would be a different story if they were teenagers, so I can totally see that point of view.

Thanks for clarifying, obviously people have different ideas of respect and I would hate to upset anyone and would rather not camp than upset someone. Plus I want my kids to enjoy camping by being allowed to have a little freedom and security that they are not afforded at home.

I never knew about looking to see if ball games were allowed or other similar rules, so it has definately opened my eyes.

Its a very big learning curve this camping lark.

I always tried to work along the lines of anything you wouldn't want to happen to your outfit, be it tent or caravan, or car, my kids were not allowed to do. Play ball games but not in the tent/caravan area. When they were too young to go to a ball game area by themselves one of us went with them. Unfortunately as has been shown in this thread, not everybody has the same thoughts.

I am now stunned, this season is turning into the season from hell,  having had a customer loose it with my husband as their children had been politely asked not to climb over the fence to the play area nor to kick the ball hard against it, as we now have 7 panels missing due to the children doing this and nails exposed ( which have been put right).

I hasten to add that these same folks have turned up for a serviced pitch = 2 adults and 2 children and a sign written van at 9.35 am this morning!!!!!!!!!!!  They have not declared nor paid for the 'extras' they have sought to bring........The husband of the family has not waited for an explaination of the incident which his children were party too simply launched a barage of abuse at my husband, whilst he was dealing with other customers, including leaving a 'bad review on here'.... I have just had to stop the same children riding their bikes up and down the ramp to the toilets and both myself and my wardens have had verbal abuse flung at us from the wife in terms of "we" have ruined their holiday (but as long as they are ok not to worry about anyone or anything else on site ?!)

Beyond belief!

Wow, you have so much patience, if it were me I'd have kicked them off, I dont see how they can leave a bad review, what can they say? That you wouldnt let their kids ride bikes around the loos or kick balls at fences? If they do leave one & it's full of lies then I'm sure the admin people would remove it for you.

It seems they are in the "I'm allright Jack" brigade, better off to ban them & lose one bad customer than lose the respectful other customers you have  there that they may be annoying.

Shame site owners can't leave reviews of customers for other site owners to read!
