Wow there's loads of good ideas on here:

I especially like the dedicated area for children to play, as this will indeed make it easier for parents to keep an eye on their children.

We recently went to a 'small' site. It had a shower block with toilets (very clean) and a dishwashing area (also clean). However it also had a freezer and I think something had died in it!! They had a picnic area in the middle of the 'field' with tables which was a good idea. It was very communial (you know get together ish).

No shop, but it was within walking distance (25 mins) of the little 'town'.

Our favourite campsite (Rutland Greendale) has a lovely touch of a picnic table per pitch. It is only a small site though, with 15 pitches, but it is a lovely touch.

Pitches that will take our Nebraska XXL as a lot of people are buying large tents now.

Clean toilets, shower blocks where you aren`t charged the earth for a 1.5 minute lukewarm shower.

Electricity sockets in the shower blocks so you can use hairdryers.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff that can answer any questions about the local area.

The facility to book online.

Kids safe play area.

Level pitches.

Well stocked resonably priced site shop if possible.

Ice pack freezing facility (in case we can`t get EHU)

A nice little bar with some sort of family area/entertainment would be nice, but not essential as long as the site was near to a local family pub.

Dishwashing facilities with HOT water.

Use of a washer and dryer for long stays.

Quiet after 11pm.

Would be good if BBQ`s were allowed.

Rubbish bins etc emptied regularly.

That`s all I can think of for now.

Leather Padded Cell ??????

sorry was thinking possible having a seperate block for specialist adult only weekends through the winter....now realising its a bad idea....and her indors also told me no

Still not sure how my suggestions of a quiet relaxing clean site puts me in the "specialist adult only weekends" bracket.

You should listen to her indoors a bit more often me thinks - i'm feeling a little insulted.
