Just returned from a 4 night stay at Spring Willows, just to let you all know of our experience!!!  Got there only to be shown up an extremely steep gravel track with a very bad bend to our pitch at top of hill.  Toilet facilities were far too far away they were next to static caravans which was helpful!!!!  Pitches were very close together and people were packed in.  No wardens around and kids constantly kicking balls etc near your vans which wasnt great as we had just bought our first new van the balls were constantly hitting our van!!! Also people were having fires which was very off putting as the vans were so close together.

The electrics were always going off and the site blamed people using hairdryers etc.

On a plus point the facilities were very clean and well maintained the bar area was lovely and food good. Overall would say 5/10

Glad you mentioned the bar.   We went there in August and found it just about the same.   Most caravan owners seemed to be on seasonal pitches, for which they pay - wait for it-- £1700.   They really need to get a life!.   The worst bit was that a single 6foot tube light in the gents toilet was on a timer.  If you were caught in the khazi after 10 o'clock at night you were left fumbling in the dark.   What gain there was in this brilliant idea heaven only knows.   Only went there because West Ayton CC site was full, but won't bother again.     brian.f
