Hi all,

looking for a camp site within about 10 miles of Thursley common for around the end of June. We would prefer a quiet site with nearby woodland/heathland, no entertainments required other than clean toilets/shower block.

just bumping up again hoping somebody nearby can help....

I live between Guildford and Farnham and I don't know of any sites in that area.  I can only suggest that you do a search.  There is a site at Dockenfield (near Farnham) and one at Warnborough (Guildford) but little detail for either of them.

There's one on the Tilford to Rushmoor road also one in the Sands. They are not show on the 1:50000 will have a look when I'm next down. Did you know there was a fire last year in the area and some of the heath land has been damaged near Thursley road.

If you don't mind going 15-20 miles look south along the A3 at Liphook and Peterfields (Hampshire) both areas have sites listed on here, just avoid the junction on the A3 at Hindhead in rush hour (to get to Liphook / Peterfield you will need to go further down the A3 and come off at Milford or follow the local road through Thursley village to Hindead). You can come off at Thursley village or park in the lay-by which is just past the Thursley turning on the A3, which has access to open land to the north.
