Hi can anyone recommend a site in Cornwall that will accept 1 dog, 2 children (6&9) &parents-of course! and a large Outwell Hartford tent?!!! To vist last week in July for about 10 days.We would like to be able to vist the Eden Project and enjoy dog accessable beaches in Cornwall. Our main priorities on site are decent clean toilets and showers with hot water and if poss a play area. I know there are many sites but have heard that traffic on certain areas can be a nightmare, so I'd appreciate any feedback.

Polmanter in St Ives has big pitches and will fit your tent no problem , however, if you want to go school holidays you wont get on now unless you dont want electric.

Also, i would strongly advise travelling to cornwall over night, as the roads are total chaos in the day time.

Little Trevarrick is nice, very good clean toilets and showers, and big pitches and about a 10-15  min walk to the beach (which sadly is uphill on the way back) but its a good site.  Its had a lot of work done on it last couple of years (think its only been open a few years anyway) and isnt a bad site to stay on.

Wherever you stay, hope you have a lovely time in Cornwall x

Can't tell you too much about a site but I would say check out which beaches will allow dogs on before you decide on a site, especially if you expect to take the dog to it's nearby beach. We had some real problems finding beaches.
Regards,
Helen.

I read somewhere that dogs weren't allowed on the beaches in the summer.

We have booked Little Bodieve in Wadebridge for the last week in July, they accept large tents and dogs.  An hour or so drive from the Eden Project.
