Has anyone just come back from this site.  We stayed a couple of years ago but I believe they have improved touring facilities/pitches recently.

Many thanks

The whole site had a major refurb except for the camping field and toilets!!!  They have a large entertainment complex and spa offering treatments etc.  The last time we went the swimming pool was closed and we came home with food poisoning....but don't let that put you off!!!!

We stayed here last year in a static van - top of the range and it was horrible - the van smelt of urine and it turned out that one of the beds was soaked in urine - they replaced the mattress and then we found wet towels on top of the wardrobe that they had used to try and dry the wet bed - cleaners obviously hadn;t cleaned - the kitchen floor was sticky and there were crisps and chips down the back of the sofas - not an experience I want to repeat      I sent a letter of complaint when we returned and got fobbed off with ' its not their usual standard' .

We found the swimming pool to be very dirty in the changing rooms but I think this was caused by the volume of people using it.  The beach was covered in seaweed and was very smelly - I was told this was something that happens at certain times ( we went in August)

We have previously stayed with Haven on numerous occasions but never again after this.

We stayed a couple of years ago in a private rental caravan and had a fab time - we now have a tourer and from what I gather they have change the touring site to behind the swimming pool, previously it was on a very steep hill and a lot of people had problems with it. Personally I like the place.....but then we had no problems whilst we were there....but we didn't stay in a haven caravan

We had a lovley caravan with Haven last April for a week.  It was really nice, but can understand that it is hit and miss.

Hi

I only hope they have improoved the touring site. We visited a couple of years ago and after negotiating the stewep hill to the touring site found a mud bath mascarading as a pitch. Vans were cramped together with very little room between. After bitterley complaining we eventually received a 350 voucher off our next stay at Haven..................and yes we still have it

Regards

John

It was like that when we stayed a couple of years ago. Some of my friends have been there since and said the beach was lovely! I was begining to think I was imagining it.

If you are particuarly looking at that part of the country I would recomend Webbers Park just down the road in Exmouth.
