Only 2 weeks to go now and everything hinges on our visit to the vets with Meg on the 9th July.

She has had the lens removed from her eye and if the pressure tests are okay and the vet is happy then we shall be taking her with us as we couldn't leave her with our doggie/house sitter. It would be too much responsibility to put on our doggie sitters shoulders.

So fingers crossed that all is well as we really need this holiday after the way things have gone over the last 12 months.

Your dog will be fine our dog Jess had her lens removed from her eye and she was fine after a few days, she just took it easy.

Its three weeks till we go to Clachtoll.  If your around we will come over to you and say Hi.

What type of car do you have so we can keep our eye out for you.

It would be great to meet up with any UKCSers in the area.
We have an Aztec Yellow Nissan Note.
You can see it in my gallery images.

The main problem with Meg is that her other lens is now detached and she can see next to nothing as she keeps bumping into things. It is only a matter of time untill that lens also has to be removed.
Our vet has said it is still possible that she may need to remove the eye.

Sadly both Megs eyes took a turn for the worse and she has to have them both removed on Tuesday.
We won't know until Friday whether we shall be able to go to Clachtoll on Saturday as everything now depends on Megs recovery and Friday check up.
I will post here Friday evening on whether we have to cancel the holiday or not.

Sorr sorry to hear your news. We were goting to go the following weekend [21st] but couldn't, so we are going to Crail in Fife [there's also loads of caches there!!]

Megs check up was fine so we are off at midnight tonight but for 9 days instead of 14 as Meg needs to have her stitches removed a week on Tuesday.
If anyone going spots a Lancashire Heeler wearing a plastic lampshade that will be our Meg with either Joan or I on the end of the lead.

If your up there and your dog seems to be doing okay I would go and see a local vet and if everything is going okay then I would stay the full 14 nights.
