Me and the missus (or should that be the Missus and I?) whatever, have an ever increasing size of family. We now have the age old problem of our tent being bigger than most pitches. This results in us being charged twice by many campsites. Our new tent is 8M by 7M meaning we are really looking for a pitch around 9 x 9. Does anyone know of a family friendly site in Kent or Sussex that isn't going to charge us double bubble for 7 nights in late July. Please help oh font of all camping knowledge!
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Hmmm, can't help with pitch sizes sorry, but just wanted to say I find it really annoying when you see a decent or larger sized tent on a tiny pitch yet a small caravan will have the use of a massive pitch .......grrrrrrrrr ..... sorry, will limp away quietly now
It's just another way of extracting ££££ from us campers, Just the same as charging extra for a awning even though you take up no more room than allocated anyway, Or £2 per night for a dog, £2 for EHU , £2 for use of water, £2 for walking on grass and not the path, £2 for the sun being out (rain is free) £2 for excessive breathing, etc etc etc..
------------- Doing as little as possible for as much as possible...

You forgot the booking fee which is added if you pre book and the admin fee if you don't!!
Oh Bob, What can I say... Our tent is not a bungalow and we won't be bringing our water feature either. Fiona we have a 3 bedded dome thingumy tent, with a teenage daughter, (oh for Gods sake I need my own room) twins of 12, and the bride and me we like to have that little bit of extra room. We looked at a Park Resorts (ugh) place in Kent and I called to ask about pitch size, "All our pitches are 6 x 6" she told me proudly. Well that would get the car and the trailor on so where do we put our tent!!!
Thanks to everyones help and comments so far. We already have some avenues to explore
